Is Whitmore's a Financial Services Authority (FSA) approved company? Return to top
Yes. Please click here to view our Initial Disclosure Document. Introduced on 14th January 2005, the new FSA rules will change the way customers buy cars and vans in the future. Among the many advantages of the new regime will be clearer information for consumers about general insurance policies. Consumers will be able to compare insurance policies more easily, with clear information on any significant and unusual exclusions, understand the nature and cost of the policy they are buying and have access to the Financial Ombudsman if they have a complaint and to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if firms go out of business. Please contact us for more information or visit www.fsa.gov.uk.

How do I enquire about a vehicle(s) online? Return to top
To enquire about a vehicle, click on your preferred model to display our stock. Browse through our wide selection of over 1000 vehicles and add any vehicles you would like more information about by clicking Enquire about this vehicle. Then complete our Enquiry Form and click Send Enquiry.

Why do many of your new car prices include a Finance Deposit Allowance (FDA)? Return to top
At Whitmore's, we're constantly looking at new ways to ensure our customers always pay the lowest possible price. Sometimes, in addition to our normal discounts off the MRRP, we will also include the FDA saving in the advertised price. The FDA saving is the amount that the Manufacturer will pay towards your finance deposit when you choose to finance on certain Finance plans.

If you didn't want to finance your purchase, but would still like to take advantage of the savings available, we would suggest that you only finance the minimum amount over the minimum term (usually £1500 over 12 months) and pay cash for the rest. By following our suggestion you will be able to significantly reduce the total amount you pay for your new vehicle. Please call us on Edenbridge 0845 390 3906, Chislehurst 0845 390 3908 or Sevenoaks 0845 390 3907 for more details. Please note that the FDA amount shown cannot normally be used in conjunction with 0% finance offers and the FDA amount varies according to make and model.

Do you take part-exchanges? Return to top
Yes. If you are considering part exchanging your current vehicle we are able to provide you with a quote. For an accurate quote please contact one of our Internet Sales Consultants on Edenbridge 0845 390 3906, Chislehurst 0845 390 3908 or Sevenoaks 0845 390 3907. If you are Part exchanging your vehicle, due to the new government legislation you must bring us the original V5 registration document and a current MOT certificate (if your vehicle is over 3 years old) together with any service history, book pack, radio code and spare key.

It is the customers responsibility to advise Whitmore's, before a valuation is given, if a part exchange vehicle has been imported.

What is a Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) Finance Plan? Return to top
A PCP allows you to finance a car but at lower monthly repayments than traditional Hire Purchase or Personal Loan. With traditional methods of purchasing a car your payments are based on having to repay the entire cost of the car equally over the period of the agreement. However with PCP you are able to defer a proportion of the cost of the car as a Final Payment which is payable at the end of the agreement. A Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) is set based on the car's estimated value at the end of the agreement, which will be equal to the Final Payment.

If I'm not financing the vehicle through Whitmore's, what are the payment methods available? Return to top
We accept payment on the day of collection / delivery in the form of Building Society cheque, Bankers draft or debit transfer. If a vehicle is being delivered we will require this at least one working day before delivery. The maximum cash sum that we can accept with prior notification is £3000. The maximum we can accept on Credit Card is £500 (except GM Card). Any amount above this will incur a surcharge of between 1.5% and 3.5%. Private cheques can be accepted but delivery will be delayed until funds have been transferred to us (normally 10 working days). Please make all cheques payable to Whitmore's.

Can I choose additional extras on the car I want? Return to top

If you are ordering a vehicle that we'll be sourcing from the factory, we can order the vehicle in whatever colour you want and with all the available extras you need. How is my vehicle taxed? Return to top
